Material Management Part 2
(off-cut inventory control)

After the required material has been cut from a Marble or Granite slab, there need to be a way devised to manage off-cut inventory. In this presentation we discuss means of going about this using software.

When off-cuts are made from a marble or granite slab more often the resulting off-cut is either rectangular in shape or L-shaped. We will use these two shape assumptions to devise an inventory management process.

To achieve this the software to be used has to have documenting ability (in other words it must have the capacity to record inventory in a database system).

We are going to use the Optimization solution 2 of our previous discussion to demonstrate off-cut inventory managemant.
